Red Lion

This evening, Aileen, Yossi and I will eat with visiting family in the Red Lion, Kirkby Lonsdale, and there might be some more posts after we have driven back to Lancaster. Meanwhile, I welcome the break from blogging.

I imagine that an Ythrian or kzinti inn would be named after some animal to be eaten, an edible herbivore - some of these are named although I am not going to search for them now - but English pub names are different. Whatever else is on the menu, it will not include a lion, let alone a red one.

Hunt well.

Kaor, Paul!

This was an amusing blog piece! I have come across mention of British inns or pubs with odd names. Altho none comes immediately to mind.

Once in a while I try something different when I eat out. But not, so far, lion meat! (Smiles)

Ad astra! Sean
