onion-and-cabbage pancakes with sour cream;
hot biscuits;
fresh bread;
cold spring water;
red wine.

I think I remember where the chili flavored pork chops were at! Astrid Larsson Loring scolded John Hordle for eating some in the middle of a dangerous mission.
