Forest of Broceliande

Quimper is a setting and Corentinus is a character in Poul and Karen Anderson's The King Of Ys. Broceliande, a legendary forest with a magical fountain and Merlin's tomb, was well worth googling.

Poul Anderson's works are encyclopedic.

Kaor, Paul!

Of course I recognized the mention of Quimper and St. Corentin, very familiar from reading THE KING OF YS.

David: you are retired Army, so I've wondered if you saw my criticisms of how S.M. Stirling overused, IMO, women soldiers and Navy personnel in Paul's "The Goetic and Other Timelines" blog piece. I'm only a civilian, so I can only go by what seems logical and by what other military persons have said about the disadvantages of women in military combat units.
