Propontis

In Some More Terminology, I had missed:

"...the Thracian shore of the Propontis."
-Rogue Sword, Chapter VIII, p. 118.

We have now perhaps returned to the point at which we had broken off from rereading Rogue Sword in 2019. The text is a wealth of references and associations and we will continue to excavate it although at a leisurely pace.

After a lapse, I will shortly join a gym. Blog readers might remember a picture of a swimming pool. However, I will now be attending a different gym and pool run by Lancaster City Council.

I hope to continue to post about Poul Anderson, about related authors and about life in Lancaster.

Kaor, Paul!

I was reminded of how the Americans stranded in Antonine Rome advised the Romans on how to improve their swimming pools via drains and filtered water in THE WINDS OF FATE. (Smiles)

Ad astra! Sean
