Future History Parallels II

Robert Heinlein's Future History Time Chart ends with the emergence of the first mature human civilization. Volume IV, Methuselah's Children, ends with the beginning of faster than light interstellar travel which has existed in Poul Anderson's Technic History since the second story in Volume I.

The Technic History ends with human civilizations in several spiral arms of the galaxy and with the beginning of a new period of unprecedented wealth in the civilization of the Commonalty, far from Earth.

We, editorially speaking, do not accept Heinlein's additions after Future History, Volume V, Orphans Of The Sky, and do wish that Anderson had made additions after the last story in his Technic History.

(I am listening to a political discussion while posting this: three worlds simultaneously.)

Kaor, Paul!

I would like to have seen a few of the lacunae in the Imperial era also filled in. That said I accept Anderson's wish to go on to other ideas.

Ad astra! Sean
