And once in a while I also like to read HUMOROUS science fiction, such as the Hoka stories of Poul Anderson and Gordon Dickson. I don't think we need to always be "furrow browed" about what we read!
I mentioned Anderson/Gordon because I don't often see funny stories in SF. Such stories gives us a change of pace, a moment of relaxation, from considering serious ideas and problems.

Thanks for adding that addendum because of my comments about Anderson/Dickson's Hoka stories. Dickson, in particular, was fond of writing humorous science fiction. And Anderson wrote other stories which were humorous: such as "A Bicycle Built For Brew" (also called THE MAKESHIFT ROCKET).
