Screen Future Histories

In Poul Anderson's Psychotechnic History, one actor would play several parts whereas, in his Technic History, two actors would play a single part.

The Psychotechnic History
Stefan Rostomily cameos at the end of "Marius" but is dead and buried before the beginning of "Un-Man." The Un-man should be played by the actor who had played Rostomily. The audience might think that this is just a case of one actor being used twice. Several Un-men are indistinguishable from each other and therefore should be played by this same actor. We begin to gather that they are what we call clones. Then the man who had known and buried Rostomily sees one of these Un-men and recognizes his dead friend's face. They are clones of Rostomily. Finally, in "Brake," a Planetary Engineer is another Rostomily clone so again should be played by the same actor. At last, this actor's contribution to the series comes to an end.

The Technic History
Between his second and third novels, Dominic Flandry changes his appearance by a future equivalent of plastic surgery. Therefore, he should be played by a second actor thereafter. The second actor should age visibly throughout the rest of Flandry's sub-series.

Apart from that, one actor represents one character in both series.

The attached cover image shows Flandry's second face and his enemy, Aycharaych.

Kaor, Paul!

And since there were Rostomily brothers of different ages actors playing them should be shown as older or younger.

Ad astra! Sean

That might require different actors.
