The Star Fox: The Series

Poul Anderson's The Star Fox can be regarded and read as a novel but was originally three stories published in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction so it is a series although differing both in quantity and quality from Star Trek.

Gunnar Heim:

formerly of the Federation Navy, has stayed in touch with classmates who have become admirals;

owns the nuclear motor manufacturers, Heimdal;

is a big contributor to the Libertarian Party;

is on his way to becoming an interstellar privateer in Fox II.

So Heim is a more interesting and substantial character than James T. Kirk and the World Federation is more credible than the United Federation of Planets. How can we persuade Trekkies that it would do them good to read Poul Anderson?

Kaor, Paul!

I only wish Trekkies and STAR WARS fans would give Anderson's stories a chance! It might help if even just one or two good filmed versions of "Territory" and "The Game of Glory" were made. That might some of them interested in more stories about Old Nick and Dominic Flandry.

Ad astra! Sean
