Merseians, Ythrians And Some Other Characters

We never see direct conflict between Merseians and Ythrians. The closest approach to this is when Erannath, a lone Ythrian, spying for both Domain and Empire, clashes with Aycharaych who is a Chereinonite but also an agent of Merseia.

Ythrians are continuing characters only as a species, not as individuals. Their stories are set too far apart for any individuals to continue between stories. Tachwyr is the only continuing individual Merseian. Aycharaych is the only continuing Chereionite but also the only surviving Chereionite.

We see:

Athena Falkayn only once in conversation with her son, David;
John Falkayn only once in conversation with Adzel, during a battle;
Hans Molitor only once in conversation with Dominic Flandry.

Some high status characters are deployed very sparingly.

I have returned home quite late from an afternoon elsewhere and should now meditate for half an hour so this might be a few blog posts day. This late in the evening, other reading calls, including Stieg Larsson despite his having written only three of a projected ten novels.

Kaor, Paul!

And I still think it's a pity we never see Emperor Georgios or his Widow!

Or, for that matter, any of the Roidhuns of Flandry's lifetime.

Ad astra! Sean
