Coya imagines the Mirkheim environment:
not a smooth sphere;
gloomy, gold-flecked cliffs;
glimmering glaciers of mercury;
internal heat;
shuddering steel soil;
volcanoes with radioactive ash;
"...eternally barren...;" (p. 668)
but mumbling "...with a life of its own." (ibid.)
But elsewhere there is a Mirkheim with life. See An Inhabited Mirkheim!
For how Mirkheim got to be the way it is, see The Unusual Supernova.
Kaor, Paul!
ReplyDeleteThat bit about the "shuddering STEEL soil" caught my eye!
