Again "The Little Monster"

I seriously doubt whether I can post any more about "The Little Monster." Here is the link to previous posts. But I will reread the story.

I did not expect "The Nest" to generate a post about Martians or the blurb to generate a comparison with Heinlein etc but, so far, rereading Anderson has been an endless welcome surprise, one that will continue tomorrow.
