A Circus Of Hells, CHAPTER FOURTEEN.
Ydwyr does not instruct Djana but hypnotizes her. This is what happens:
flames dance and whisper;
shadows move;
Djana almost follows the path traced by the figures on the monolith;
smoke whirls in her veins;
Ydwyr's voice croons like a lullaby;
to her, he becomes "Father";
he reassures her;
archaic objects come from pre-rational sources;
she can become strong;
she accepts;
she gazes into water, fire, crystal and shadows and sees visions;
he gets her to concentrate on the Graven Stone which is like a mandala;
her psychic power develops.
Afterwards, the weeks under his tutelage are vague and scarcely distinguishable from dreams. They were not tutelage.
Kaor, Paul!
