Wars, A Rebellion And A Philosophy

Poul Anderson, Orbit Unlimited, part one, 1.

To answer a question asked here:

there have been "'...Atomic Wars...'" (p. 15), although we are not told how many;

there was a "'...North American Rebellion...'" (p. 11) twenty years previously.

But I have already summarized the opening chapter here.

Anderson imagines future philosophies:

Constitutionalism in this Rustum future history;
Egalitarianism in Shield;
Cosmenosis in the Technic history;
Gaeanity in the Maurai history;
Xuanism in the Harvest of Stars future history;
no doubt others.

    To say nothing, of course, of how we see real world, ancient faiths and philosophies such as Christianity and Buddhism in the works of Anderson.
