The Queens share the upbringing of Princess Dahut;
she spends time in each of their houses;
Gratillonius holds open court one day every month;
he has time for leisure activities like riding and carving wooden toys for Dahut;
he persuades the magnates that he must spend extended periods elsewhere in Armorica;
the Symposium continues to meet in the Water Tower and hears the new Christian minister;
there is an occasional challenger in the Wood;
Dahilis has returned as a seal and communicates with Dahut;
the seasons turn.
Kaor, Paul!
ReplyDeleteAnd your local science fiction club is also a kind of Symposium! Perhaps you could invite SF authors to give guest appearances? Or local dignitaries known to have literary tastes?

Sean,
DeleteOur group has declined to just 3 of us meeting for a drink - but we have wider contacts of course.
Paul.
Kaor, Paul!
DeleteDarn! Only three left? I would like to hope if the US or UK ever gets SERIOUS about a real space program, one secondary consequence would be your "Symposium" getting larger as more people became interested in space and science fiction.
Good about the "wider contacts," of course!
