I've read Pournelle's PRINCE ...Kaor, Paul!

I've read Pournelle's PRINCE OF MERCENARIES, and then Pournelle/Stirling's GO TELL THE SPARTANS and now I'm reading their PRINCE OF SPARTA. And some of the points both authors make is the need for good soldiers not only to be carefully trained and learn how to immediately obey orders in high stress environments. AND, that it takes actual combat to KNOW how a man will do in such a situation.

And I do believe we exist in a world where God is real and the supernatural sometimes makes itself known. As in the miracles recorded at shrines like Lourdes and apparitions such as those at Fatima and Zeitun.

Hmmm, one of the hypotheses of Anderson's OPERATION CHAOS and OPERATION LUNA has been that God's existence and the reality of the supernatural and an afterlife were scientifically proven.

SeanSean M.
